It definitely is EM, well worth the effort.
It looks very dark due to the pomegranate molasses but wasn't burnt. It got a huge :thumbsup from my family.

That looks delicious, LTC!

We had fried quails' eggs for breakfast on Sunday and Monday. They are difficult to open. I found this year that giving them a gentle whack with a knife to break the shell and then using a pair of (disinfected) nail scissors, carefully cutting the shell is by far the best way, even if it sounds fiddly, it saves a lot of time. Last year I used a knife only and had to pick out tiny pieces of shell, which took longer than the scissors' trick.

I drop each egg into a shot glass and then gently fry three eggs at once, which is just right for half a buttered breadroll.

Thanks Amber and Uschi.
Fried quail eggs sound delicious, I've only had them boiled in canapes.

I think they are nicer fried and they still look so pretty.
